Vela Crux
Vela Crux was born to hoop! At a young age, she loved to practice for her school's annual hoop competitions and even won first place five years in a row. She rediscovered her love for hooping as an adult when she realized its vast healing and meditative properties.
Her passion for teaching and performing started after founding and becoming president of the Northeastern Spinning Arts Club in college. She completed the Hula Hoop City Teacher Training soon after and continued to teach all over New England. Vela has participated in countless hooping related events and festivals and enjoys being actively involved in the community.
Her favorite part of being a professional hoop dancer is inspiring others to begin their own hoop journey and watching them grow within the hoop. Vela is so proud to be a part of the Boston Hoop Troop and looks forward to spreading the hoop love with a collective that has always inspired her.
