Tiger Lilly
Lilly is thrilled to be one of the latest additions to the Boston Hoop Troop! As a Cambridge, MA native she loves being a part of the hooping community in her home town. Lilly first hooped while seeing the Dead preform at Rothbury Music Festival in 2009. She saw some of the worlds best hoopers that weekend and couldn't wait to make the hoop her own. The following year she founded a weekly hoop jam on her college campus in Richmond, Indiana. Upon graduating she returned home, met Sarah Sunshine and was thus introduced to the Boston hooping community.
Lilly loves hooping with and for others but also cherishes the act of hooping alone and considers it a form of meditation. A moment or period of time where action and thought become one, the mind is quiet and the body at play. *Pure presence*. Hooping led Lilly to explore other forms of meditation and to ultimately pursue yoga teacher training. She is a RYT 200 hour and teaches at Be In Union in Somerville.
Lilly loves the combination of movement, music and warm weather! Hooping barefoot in the sunshine and spinning LEDs or fire on hot summer nights are among her all time favorite activities. She is continually inspired by her BHT peers, the local, national and international hooping community!
